She went a bit too far for me when she said homelessness was a lifestyle choice for some: there may be some truth in that, but as someone who has slept in the local park on one occasion, believe me, that wasn’t my choice. Most homeless don’t wish to be so.  Suella’s recent comments condemning the pro Palestinian movement as hateful are again, partly true- there is too much anti semitism on the far left & amongst Muslim communities. There is no question the Tory right is unhappy Suella is gone, but as for me I prefer Esther McV anyway. It’s a big gamble on Rishi’s part and I’m not sure it will save him, but he may have figured Reform will eat into his right flank regardless..

But the writer of Wisdom here is right- wisdom starts with justice, and clearly the reason why Muslim protests have inflamed the west is that there is a deep sense that the Palestinians have been unjustly treated, and are being unjustly treated. Talking to a girl from a Muslim background yesterday, it is very clear she blames America in general for just about everything, whereas I think it is more useful to focus on Biden- he is the one who has basically decided to side with Israel here..

Sheep in the midst of wolves.. Matthew 10:16 Britain's loneliest sheep has been rescued! Fiona the sheep 🐏 fell down a cliff in Scotland and was trapped in a small area at the bottom for seemingly 2 years. But some Scottish farmers have now saved her and given her a sheep makeover, a good shearing ... What is quite moving about the story is apparently the sheep was following a kayaker passing by, bleating pathetically, before she was rescued. I guess you get so lonely as a former herd animal that any passing random canoeist will do for a much needed chat... Or maybe she was merely complaining about the quality of the grass?

But given that Muslims have dozens of countries, and the Jews have only one, it seems a bit much that the Muslims wish to take away from the Jews the one place they call home. If there was any political will do so, every Palestinian could be safely resettled. Goodness knows the Saudis & Qataris are not short of a few bob... But it suits the Arab world to make Israel look heartless.
