Now clearly Japan is one of the best countries in Asia for freedom of religion. China 🇨🇳, North Korea 🇰🇵, 🇻🇳 Vietnam, India 🇮🇳 & Pakistan 🇵🇰 (in fact just about every Muslim country ) are all much worse. However, are we moving forward or backwards?  Sad to say, under Kishida, things are clearly moving backwards. This guy, while clearly favoring Shintoism, granting Shrines an enormous amount of tax payers money for free, granting his own friend a state funeral, (while seemingly covering up a fundraising scandal) , hitting us tax payers a third time for an enormous fee for a Shinto coronation, is quite simply persecuting the Moonies, and now recently I read his administration is turning its attention to religious ‘abuse’ of children. Now although this may sound like a reasonable cause, as clearly some parents do indeed go too far, exactly what is abuse, and how does a biased State that clearly favors Shinto & Nichiren over all else, get to define it?? Parents should NOT be bothered by state bureaucrats over the raising of their children without very good reason, & quite simply we know from Europe & America that some secular social workers are scarily zealous to impose secular values, including the ghastly transgenderism, upon very small kids. A cause for legitimate concern. 🙁
