Temperance

 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law..

Galatians 5:23

My dad told me that when he was in the Merchant Navy he once was given a report from a Captain that said he was a ‘sober’ mate. And it was true, unlike my grandfather, I never saw my dad drunk. We had white wine with Christmas dinner in our house, but alcohol was never much of a feature the rest of the time.
