Prevail

 ..Went up to Jerusalem to make war against it, but could not prevail against it. 
Isaiah 7:1

In this chapter of Isaiah we have 3 bad kings. There are no good guys, except Isaiah the prophet. What's interesting is a Russian, Ukrainian, and American would probably interpret this passage differently. Most Japanese probably wouldn't bother to try, because Isaiah isn't a sacred text in Shinto or Buddhism, but one of the reasons people still read Isaiah 2500 years or so after it was written is what it says about war & politics still holds true today. God never loses, though His people sometimes do. Certainly China couldn't prevail against Japan last night at baseball ⚾, but if, God forbid, it actually came to real war, is anyone going to suggest it will end the same way, with a convincing Japanese win?

The Philistines towards the West.. Isaiah 11:14 It is hard to support Boris sending 6000 missiles to help Ukraine when his government is also pushing for yet more LGBT+ "rights". Don't get me wrong, Labour is worse, but I can't support Russian soldiers being killed by my government. What has Russia seriously ever done to the UK apart from helping save us from Hitler in WW2?

They trust bent lawyers & porn stars if they talk smack about people they hate, but they don’t trust saints, apostles & Holy Mother Church when it tells them about Jesus, the Best Man of All.
