Enlightened

Those who were once enlightened, & have tasted the heavenly gift ..

Hebrews 5:4

Buddhists are wrong to see Buddha as completely enlightened. Any enlightenment he truly had was partial at best. Yes, he had the wisdom & sense to reject the Hinduism of his day, but his disciples see him as wiser than he was. 

Similarly, historians who see the "Age of Enlightenment" starting with Descartes, Voltaire, Shelley & Paine are mistaken. Building a society on secular rationalism had led Europe & America to the sorry impasse where we are now. Even the Greens recognize the industrial revolution was a mixed blessing, bringing pollution in its wake. True enlightenment respects the Bible, learns from the Church, and doesn't reject Christ.
